Project Snapshot - Week 190

Each week, Project Snapshot captures a memory from the past few days - either with a camera, words, or both.

Time passes in the blink of an eye - see which treasured memory will join the year's collection for this week:

My Snapshot(s)

Sometimes technology is really annoying.

The photo I really wanted to use was taken with my phone, but I spent forever last night trying to get it off my phone and it just wouldn't work.

That photo was of our yummy Greek dinner next to the water for our "Dinner on a Dime" Year of Fun envelope that we did this weekend.

We're still working our way through all the envelopes (stretching out all the fun!) and we were pretty excited to meet the requirement of only spending $10 for a dinner out (we hit $10 exactly!

So you'll just have to imagine our smiling faces (well, I was taking the picture, so it was just G and Gv) holding up our meal of souvlaki and a gyro.

But I've still got a photo to share:

That's Gv with her "Me" book that she finally completed last week.

This was something I did with my students every year in my classroom -- it was a project that would drive me bonkers every year, yet every year, I couldn't help still working on it with them to have ready for their desks on Open House night.

I've been weeding out my school stuff and scanning in papers from my tried-and-true files for the past month and when Gv saw this project, she asked if she could do it.

It took several weeks, but she was so excited and proud of her completed book -- she's even carted it around with her every day to share it with her friends!

What was your favorite memory from this past week?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
